Early mornings, weekends, & holidays a must

Provides excellent service to guests, assists guests in menu selection, delivers guests orders with high accuracy, prepares specialty beverages, cleans and maintains work area and dining room. Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for the duration of shift. 2 years experience required.

 

Wage:  Breakfast Server: $5.00/hr + tips (avg $11/hour+)

Essential Functions:

  • Arrives on time for all shifts, meetings, and classes.
  • Follows the three steps to great service and the five steps to handling a customer complaint.
  • Speaks knowledgeably and accurately about all menu items, including core and special menu items, coffees and barista drinks, all tap beers, wine glass pours, "classic cocktails," and house liquors.
  • Reviews menu and 86 lists each shift for updates.
  • Participates in weekly specials presentations and reads notes on specials and menu updates if excused from attending.
  • Makes local deliveries and transports items being delivered
  • Valid Driver License with a good driving record
  • Is knowledgeable of Digital Dining and correctly rings orders.
  • Competently pairs menu items with wines and beers.
  • Uses systems for collecting, communicating, and connecting dots.
  • Maintains clean dining room and service stations.
  • Follows Roadhouse systems for wine service.
  • Seeks manager/supervisor assistance with guests when appropriate.
  • Accurately takes and delivers guests order using Zingerman's 4 Steps to Order Accuracy.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to balance and carry a tray with drinks and/or dishes.
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs
  • Must be able available to start work at 6am Mon-Fri and be flexible in schedule.

Other Functions:

  • Follows the training compact and takes responsibility for his or her training.
  • Follows the three steps to great service and the five steps to handling a customer complaint.
  • Attends and participates in weekly huddles and/or is responsible for knowing Roadhouse key measures and numbers.
  • Follows the staff member guidelines.
  • Follows the Roadhouse table maintenance systems for marking, pre-bussing, setting, etc.
  • Documents all code reds and code greens.
  • Takes initiative to help in other areas of the Roadhouse as needed.
  • Attends and participates in weekly huddles and/or is responsible for knowing Roadhouse key measures and numbers.
  • Follows the staff member guidelines.

The Success Patterns for this position are:

  • Has at least one year of experience as a server in a high-end service environment.
  • Has a reputation for excellent relations with guests and front and back of house staff.
  • Has worked effectively as part of a team.
  • Has successfully managed guest's dining experience in a fast-paced environment.
