Want to work at the Newest Zingerman's Business?  Miss Kim Korean Restaurant & Bar is open in Kerrytown.

We are looking for high-energy individuals who love food, giving great service and having lots of fun at work. We offer flexible schedules, including weekends, as well as a structured training program.

We are seeking Line Cooks to join us at the ground level!  

Line Cooks start at $13-14/hour depending on experience, plus full benefits.  Opportunities for increases after advanced training! Miss Kim is a no tip restaurant, which means we can all focus on Giving Great Service!    

Dinner shifts between 3pm-12 Midnight.

Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:

  • Prepares food according to our recipes - accurately weighing out ingredients, calm under pressure and to our standards
  • Prepare food according to prep list (day cooks)
  • Efficiently & accurately clean equipment (night cooks)
  • Follows and upholds all of Zingerman's standards
  • Ensures that all food meets quality and presentation standards
  • Completes Training Passport within the stated timeframes and continues to live the Training Compact
  • Builds and maintains Standard Operations Procedures
  • Maintains proper station set up and a clean and organized work area
  • Effectively communicates and works with all staff at Miss Kim
  • Tastes everything on the station for spec, taste dishes you're putting out for spec

 The Success Patterns for this position are:

  • Has at least one year of line cook experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred
  • Has a reputation for excellent relations with front of the house staff
  • Has a reputation for maintaining a safe and clean kitchen
  • Experience in Asian cooking a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to work weekends and Sundays
  • Can lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to speak Korean a plus, but not required
